About the Role

This is an opportunity for a maintenance professional who has experience in maintenance management to support 5 specialist maintenance teams on a hybrid roster, both fixed and dynamic (Shutdown Execution Only) panels. The Ideal candidate is a natural coach and has a track record of nurturing and developing teams. A curiosity and a technical aptitude to manage risk in a maintenance context will be well regarded for this role.  You will provide direct leadership to Supervisors, Coordinators and Technical Specialists overseeing compliance to process and systems associated to allocating resources for planned and unplanned mechanical maintenance work. Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to lead through adversity will underpin your enthusiasm to drive performance improvement. 

About You

You lead by example in building positive workplace culture and collaborate across teams to deliver best outcomes for BHP.    Specifically:   •    Create a culture of care by being a visible safety leader, engaging, developing, and coaching your team; •    Mentor and set the standards around safety, field leadership, hazard reporting and improvement •    Demonstrate understanding and alignment with our people leadership processes, 1:1’s, development plans, training plans and supportive leadership •    Listen to the voice of the customer and operate in a proactive manner and work collaboratively and effectively with key stakeholders across site •    Be a motivated, engaged, and supportive people leader; •    Provide input into planning processes with a focus on continuous improvement; •    Have ownership of improvement projects; •    Utilise your persuasive communication and collaboration skills and ability to work across various stakeholders; •    You will possess maintenance experience, within a leadership role; •    Engineering and/or trade qualifications are desirable, however not essential.
