Due to our ongoing growth, Macmahon are currently seeking enthusiastic and experienced people to join the team at the Warrawoona Gold Project mine located 25km from Marble Bar. Macmahon have secured a 5-year Surface mining contract with Calidus Resources, this mine is developing 1.5 million ounces.

We are currently seeking for an experienced Maintenance Superintendent on an 8:6 roster to the Project with responsibilities not limited to:
- Lead by example, work, promote and manage in accordance with all established work rules, HSEQ legislation, standards, policies and procedures
- Ensure, so far as is possible, the provision and maintenance of a work environment, in which employees are not exposed to hazards
- Motivate and engage employees and contractors to achieve high standards of safety performance
- Coordinate and supervise the maintenance works (mobile and fixed mechanical equipment) for the successful completion of planned repairs and to provide effective responses to unscheduled repairs or breakdowns.
- Coordinate and develop the assigned subordinates in repairing/overhauling for maintenance on equipment and in order to optimize workable time and to minimize turn-around time of each maintenance event.
- Keep updated on the latest technical developments from OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers) in order to be advised on any technical problem
- Model and promote behaviours in line with Macmahon values
To be successful you will have the following skills and experience
- 7+ years' leadership experience
- Australian recognised Trades Certificate
- Deep knowledge upon practical application of mechanical/electrical/heavy mobile equipment’s & safety legal requirements
- Have extensive experience in plant operational works with a capability in monitoring direct staff or subcontractors
- Experience working at mining/civil contractor is preferred.
