Superintendent - Maintenance

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Superintendent to join our team at Dawson South Coal Mine on a 5/2 roster. Dawson south is located near the town of Moura and 169km from Rockhampton. 

As the Maintenance Superintendent, you will play a vital role in overseeing maintenance activities and ensuring compliance with standards and procedures. Your strategic direction, supervision of the maintenance team, and commitment to efficient equipment operation will contribute to our continued success.

Key accountabilities of the role include the following:
•    Ensuring a safe workplace is maintained and personnel are trained/competent
•    Ensure safe working procedures and practices are in place and adhered to
•    Supervising and leading a team of maintenance personnel to comply with maintenance plans and equipment life cycle requirements
•    Provide technical guidance to shop floor personnel for mobile equipment
•    Ensure business processes are adhered to at all times
•    Accurate recording of all maintenance activities
•    Development and mentoring of maintenance personnel

The successful candidate will possess the following:
•    A strong, proven commitment to safety and excellent communication skills across all levels
•    Previous Supervisory experience within an open cut mining environment
•    Background and technical knowledge of a range of equipment -  Heavy Duty Large Scale Mining Machinery
•    Great interpersonal and communication skills;
•    Demonstrating commitment to Macmahon safety culture and values
•    S11
•    Coal Board Medical 
•    S1,2,3 
•    Current C Class Drivers Licence.

As a part of the recruitment process for this role you may be required to complete a pre-employment medical, inclusive of laboratory drug and alcohol screen and complete a criminal history and qualification checks. Additionally, you will have to provide us with proof of working rights in Australia i.e. copy of valid Australian passport, birth certificate, citizenship certificate or current visa grant notification.
