We are looking for a Superintendent, Maintenance to deliver, implement and manage the Maintenance category strategy for RTIO Sus Cap – including the flagship Structural Integrity program of works. The role is also responsible for the leadership and development of two Strategy Specialists and for the ongoing collaboration with the wider Procurement team(s). Reporting to the Principal, Capital Projects Sustaining Capital and working in a challenging and exciting environment withing the Global Procurement team, you will demonstrate:
- Leadership skills to develop and mentor two Strategy Specialists and provide indirect leadership within the wider team;
- Embrace and demonstrate our people at the heart and relay race culture initiatives;
- Proficiency in developing and implementing category strategies, including a robust approach to risk management and supplier relationship management and pricing models;
- Ability to articulate and live Rio Tinto’s values of Care, Courage and Curiosity;
- A curious mindset, supporting collaboration within Rio Tinto Procurement and RTIO Sustaining Capital;
- A proactive approach in seeking opportunities to leverage and align on commercial strategies across Rio Tinto Procurement;
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills to drive the ongoing improvement of sustaining capital processes and maturity; and

- A tertiary degree in business, law or commercial discipline is highly desirable; and

Where you will be working
This role will be based in Central Park – Perth’s CBD hub. Rio Tinto Procurement provides supply chain services that deliver value to the Rio Tinto Group through the strategic sourcing of goods and services for all operations and businesses.
