Roster: 4 Days On / 3 Days Off
This is a high-impact leadership role where you’ll take ownership of major rail maintenance programs critical to keeping our operations moving safely and efficiently.
As the Rail Major Maintenance Superintendent, you’ll lead the planning and execution of large-scale maintenance works across our rail network—spanning track and crossings renewal, re-rail activities, and works within TLOs and TULs.
You’ll be at the centre of it all—driving performance, leading teams, managing contractors, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead with safety first – champion a strong safety culture and ensure full compliance with company and regulatory standards
- Oversee major rail maintenance programs – coordinate complex works across track, crossings, and associated infrastructure
- Drive team performance – lead Supervisors, Coordinators, and contractors to deliver high-quality outcomes
- Plan and optimise resources – manage schedules, allocate resources effectively, and control project costs
- Engage stakeholders – collaborate closely with internal teams and external contractors to keep projects on track
- Problem-solve on the ground – proactively resolve technical, logistical, and people-related challenges
- Develop capability – mentor and coach your team, building skills and strengthening future leadership
Qualifications and Experience
About You
You’re a confident and capable leader who can balance operational delivery with people leadership. You bring a strong safety mindset and know how to get the best out of teams in demanding environments.
What you’ll bring:
- 3–5 years’ experience in a similar leadership role
- Proven ability to lead teams in high-pressure, safety-critical environments
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence across a range of stakeholders
- Solid technical knowledge of rail infrastructure (track, crossings, signals) and associated equipment
- Trade or tertiary qualification (desirable)
- Current WA C Class Driver’s Licence
