About the Role

As the Superintendent Track Renewals, you will lead a team of Shutdown Supervisors and asset management professionals to execute the track renewals program . Your role is responsible for safe and efficicent execution of track renewals across the Rio Tinto Rail network to improve network condition and drive returns from the asset portfolio.About Us

Your primary responsibility is to lead and manage a team of Shutdown Supervisors and Coordinators, ensuring the successful execution of Track Renewal Shutdowns across the Rail Network.Your duties also include optimizing the utilization and productivity of plant, labor, and equipment through detailed work packages and shutdown plans. Additionally, you will oversee the planning, organization, and management of the team's work, while also ensuring safety compliance and departmental productivity.Managing the shutdown schedule to minimize costs while meeting obstruction time and quality goals is essential. Moreover, you'll be tasked with defining staffing needs, selection criteria, and development plans for the team, while closely collaborating with other functions to ensure seamless performance across the organization.What You’ll Bring

Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and supervise a team of Shutdown Supervisors and professionals.Problem-Solving: Capability to analyze and solve problems without clear precedent.Budget Management: Experience in developing and managing project budgets and execution plans.Staffing and Development: Ability to define staffing needs, assess criteria, and develop team members.Collaboration: Proficiency in collaborating closely with other functions to achieve objectives.
