About the role
We are looking for a Superintendent MEM to lead the Tyres, Tracks & Shuts team at Marandoo.
This role is a great opportunity to utilise your leadership skills and passion for coaching others. The MEM team at Marandoo are collaborative and have a supportive leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity, working a 9:5 FIFO roster from Perth and reporting to the Manager Fixed Plant and MEM you will be:
- Coaching and developing a team of maintenance staff
- Leading maintenance execution activities including the responsibility for contractor management
- Fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Developing, monitoring and controlling approved budget to deliver cost effective services that meet the business needs
- Ensuring that the maintenance function is delivered in line with Rio Tinto best practice to maximise productivity and equipment reliability
- Identifying and implementing systems, processes and practice initiatives to improve efficiency, sustainability and safety within the Marandoo MEM department
What you’ll bring
- Passion for leading, coaching and mentoring teams
- Demonstrated experience in a frontline leadership role
- Working knowledge of leading work management and asset management practices
- Demonstrated knowledge of SAP or equivalent and Microsoft Office
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
- Background from either an engineering, shutdown or a maintenance environment would be advantageous.

Where you’ll be working
The Marandoo mine is located at the foot of Mount Bruce adjacent to the Karijini National Park, 50 km east of the town of Tom Price. Marandoo is known for its picturesque hills and mountain ranges. Our operation currently employs a fly in fly out workforce.
