Superintendent Mobile Maintenance - Trucks
Work Location: Solomon
- Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.
Roster: 4D/3R – FIFO ex Perth
As superintendent, you will provide direction and support to the maintenance team and sub-contractors in the delivery of the maintenance schedule, safely and to statutory requirements. You will leverage your operational knowledge to build on Solomon’s culture and success while using your experience to lead a culture of continuous improvement.
Key accountabilities include:
- Provide guidance, coaching and direction to maintenance personnel
- Analyse maintenance KPIs, safety, cost, and schedule compliance and apply corrective actions
- Define and apply continuous improvement practices to maintenance strategies
- Identify and implement cost reduction and optimization initiatives
- Ensure maintenance frequencies are adhered and performed safely at all times
- Provide focused leadership on risk management and promoting a safety culture
Qualification and Experience:
- A strong background and technical understanding of a range of large scale mining equipment,
- Extensive knowledge in Mobile Maintenance with proven leadership experience at supervisor or superintendent level
- Strong background in heavy mobile maintenance and equipment lifecycle/strategies
- Knowledge of Mines Regulations and Act and Occupational, Health and Safety legislation and other relevant legislation and regulations
- Planning and scheduling experience and an ability to understand work at a detailed level
