About the role

We are looking for a Team Lead in the LTE space to join our dynamic, collaborative environment and be a part of our global Information Systems & Technology (IS&T) Network Platforms Team.

Reporting to the Manager Network Platforms, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the seamless operation and optimization of our critical LTE production environments. You’ll be overseeing the team who configures commissions and maintains availability for LTE communications devices. Your team will ensure network communication systems interconnect with equipment from different manufacturers, service providers and users. This role will have strong focus on stakeholder engagement, ensuring medium term coverage planning aligns with business requirements and that day-to-day incident management is conducted in accordance with ITIL principles.

You'll collaborate closely with diverse teams and implement innovative solutions that directly influence our mining and production processes. Your contributions will be instrumental in maintaining our unwavering commitment to operational excellence, safety, and sustainable practices. Playing a critical role in improving existing platform environments, you will apply agreed standards, governance, guidelines, patterns, and tools, and be key in proactively mitigating operational technology (OT) incidents to all information technology related issues from our Iron Ore Pilbara mines and Control Centre.

This role also requires solid understanding of Nokia EPC infrastructure and configuration.

  • Agile and DevOps Mindset: Familiarity with Agile and DevOps practices will empower you and your team to drive continuous improvement and innovation across operational technology landscapes.
  • ITIL Framework: You'll apply your understanding of the ITIL framework and IT service management practices to ensure efficient incident, problem, and change management.
  • Problem-Solving: Your exceptional problem-solving abilities will shine as you proactively identify potential issues, devise preventive measures, and mitigate operational incidents.
  • Expertise: Your expertise in Nokia EPC systems and protocols – GTP, Diameter, IP, Radius, HSS, MME, SGW, PGW, signalling trace/analysis, IMS, VoLTE is essential in providing expert technical support and resolution to network related issues.

Desirable:

Minimum 5 Years in similar technical and team leadership role within a large enterprise/carrier or integrator. Mining, Industrial/Oil and Gas or manufacturing experience preferred.
