Operations Superintendent
Work Location: Eliwana. Fortescue’s Eliwana mine is located on the traditional lands of the Puutu Kunti Kurrama people.
Roster: 8D/6R – FIFO ex Perth
Role overview:
Lead the area production team to achieve area and site safety and production targets.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Direct manage a multi- disciplinary team to ensure fixed plant operations are steady and reliable
- Contribute to shut planning, risk assessments and kick off meetings
- Participate in critical control monitoring and team based risk assessments
- Collaborate with mine planning to ensure Operational plans are accurate and followed
- Coach and conduct field leadership
- Coach and mentor direct reports in risk management processes for fixed plant operations
- Develop and implement safety initiatives
Qualifications and skills required:
- Significant experience in ore processing operational roles in a high volume and / or complex processing plant environment
- Demonstrated leadership experience leading technical and/or operational teams
- Project management experience
- Cost and budget management experience
- Current knowledge of processing plant equipment
