About the Role
We have an opportunity for a Superintendent Operations Planning to join our team at Broadmeadow Mine. Reporting to the Manager Mine Planning, you will be responsible for production schedules and forecasts, corporate reporting on weekly, monthly and annual basis, and services and infrastructure blueprints. This leadership role will see you guide and develop a team to deliver tactical designs and schedules (in-line with strategic direction). This is a full time role with residential or FIFO options, on a Monday to Friday roster with flexible work arrangements. In this Role you will:
- Uphold the BHP Charter Values and Code of Business Conduct and comply with our Safety and Health Management System.
- Provide leadership and effective management of the Operations Planning team for seamless integration with execution teams; furthermore through continuous improvement, toward technical excellence.
- Lead the identification and management of schedule risks, providing ongoing communications to relevant stakeholders and solution identification including prioritization and realignment of mine priorities.
- Encourage and develop a collaborative relationship with operational superintendents to deliver the operational budget in accordance with changing conditions; and,
- Foster a safe to speak up environment to team members to work effectively with customers to achieve the best business outcomes.
About You
As the successful candidate, you will possess the following skills and experience:
- Significant mine planning experience, with a deep understanding of the key value drivers and mine planning strategies for underground coal mining.
- Excellent communication skills and an ability to influence various stakeholders.
- Working knowledge and skills in AutoCAD, Deswik and the Microsoft suite, including MS Project.
- A strong desire to mentor and lead a team and may have previous experience in a leadership role. You actively engage your stakeholders and enjoy collaboration and networking.
