About the Role

The Superintendent Planning and Asset Health is responsible for the translation of Total Equipment and Operational Strategies and Maintenance Corrective Works for Mobile Mining or Fixed Plant Equipment into fully resourced and detailed work packages. Reporting to Manager Planning, Scheduling & Asset Health, the core accountabilities include:

  • Leads, coaches and mentors team members to ensure delivery against performance targets.
  • Ensures compliance to standard planning and scheduling processes and utilisation of business systems.
  • Ensures delivery of planned work to scheduling teams in accordance with set handover criteria.
  • Drives standardisation of work packages so schedules can be delivered in a standard format across the Operations.
  • Ensures routine Asset Health feedback is captured in the planning process to optimise component condition-based decisions.
  • Facilitates the relationship with Strategy Owners to enhance Total Equipment Strategies based on trends identified through monitoring Asset Health data.
  • Oversees the integration of Asset Health data to inform strategy decisions.
  • Supports the development and validation of the maintenance budget based on preventative and corrective maintenance work strategies in 1SAP.
  • Identifies actions that will improve the Planning of maintenance work through the Work Management Monitoring and Controlling process and Site feedback and facilitates implementation of Continuous Improvement initiatives within Planning team.
  • Collaborates with the Supply function to oversee service requirements in accordance with the budget.
  • Oversees the handover of sequenced work to MECoE Schedulers ensuring all handover criteria are met.
  • Facilitates resource sharing and load levelling across departments and sites to optimise resource utilisation.
  • Collaborates with Operations Maintenance Planning and Scheduling teams to deliver integrated plans.

About You

As a successful candidate you will possess the following:  

  • Demonstrated work experience in technical planning and scheduling.
  • Strong knowledge with Asset Management and understanding of Condition Monitoring and Asset Health Principles.
  • Demonstrated experience in similar leadership role with strong ability to lead within a peer group and client groups, using influencing skills to resolve problems.
  • Trade qualification or Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or relevance.
  • Cost Management and Forecasting background.
  • Experience in Mobile of Fixed Plant Mining Equipment.
  • Strong communication, relationship building and interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptability to continuously changing work environments.

Location

In this full-time permanent position, you will be based in Perth, Western Australia, in the multi award winning office tower - ‘City Square’. You will have stunning river views from your modern open plan office, state of the art facilities including virtual whiteboards and video conferencing facilities, 550 bicycle racks with ample lockers, showers and change room amenities and a large outdoor terrace with barbecues.

  You will be working on Monday – Friday roster while flexible work is also offered.
