New South Wales Energy Coal consists of the Mt Arthur Coal open-cut energy coal mine in the Hunter Valley region of New South Wales, Australia. The site produces coal for international customers in the energy sector.

About the Role
Reporting to the CHPP & Infrastructure Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the operation in maximising the availability of the CHPP & site Infrastructure through robust reliability improvements and maintenance planning.
An analytical problem solver with the ability to manage long term projects and priorities and has demonstrated experience in driving change will be successful in this role. Reporting to CHPP & Infrastructure Manager your accountabilities include:
- Create a culture where safety is a priority, people are inspired and empowered to deliver superior performance.
- Lead a team of Maintenance Planners and Reliability Engineers to implement and manage a reliability improvement system.
- Identify long-term opportunities for improvement through focussing on equipment reliability
- Identify and eliminate repetitive and major equipment failures
- Work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders to drive equipment and maintenance performance outcomes.
- Lead and facilitate Equipment Reliability, Failure Analysis and RCM.
- Champion Management of Change process for all CHPP & Infrastructure related changes.
About You
As a successful candidate you will possess the following:
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role.
- Extensive experience in applying reliability principles in mining, minerals processing or similar heavy industry environment.
- A degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management or an extensive related background will be advantageous.
- Capable of working at all levels of business and proficient at Superintendent/Management levels.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and problem solve – make plans, take initiative to identify improvements and implement effectively
Location
In this full-time permanent position, you will be bas eon residential at Muswellbrook NSW and working on Monday-Friday roster.
As these roles are residential, successful applicant will be required to live within a safe distance from our mine site, aligned with our fatigue management policies. Please note accommodation and travel is not provided for these positions.
