About the roleWe are looking for a Superintendent Plant Maintenance with a passion for people to lead, mentor, coach and develop a team of Fixed Plant Maintenance personnel at Yandicoogina. You will be responsible for providing regular performance feedback, leadership and safely executing Fixed Plant activities. 

You’ll be part of a friendly team, supported by your leader to grow and achieve your own personal goals as well as the goals of the team. You’ll work a family and lifestyle friendly 9 days off, 5 days off roster from Perth or Busselton.

Reporting to the Manager Fixed Plant, some the role accountabilities will require you to:•    Actively foster and communicate a positive safety culture to promote safety awareness and compliance, encouraging prioritisation of safety in all activities and operations  •    Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, evaluating and implementing improvement opportunities utilising a range of Rio Tinto best practices •    Collaborate closely with other functions and stakeholders in the performance of duties  •    Lead, coach and develop a team of Fixed Plant Maintenance personnel •    Responsible for Fixed Plant Maintenance training, safety compliance, scheduling and productivity •    Manage Fixed Plant Maintenance activities to maximise productivity while minimising cost and environmental impact •    Define staffing and development needs of Fixed Plant Maintenance •    Ensure compliance to relative legislation, including statutory obligations •    Provide quality control on maintenance process, including reviewing the 5 whys process completed by direct reports •    Work closely with the planning and scheduling teams to ensure effective maintenance 16. Ensure maintenance activities are carried out safely, according to plan and cost effectively •    Liaise with relevant departments to communicate maintenance intentions and manage improvement projects specific to the department •    Manage a budget and ensure capital and operating funds are allocated correctly within Plant Maintenance and promote a high level of cost awareness 

What you’ll bring•    A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team  •    A passion and confidence in leading, developing and coaching team members•    An understanding of the work management process and principles •    A Current Western Australian ‘C’ Class Driver's Licence (Manual)•    Relevant trade qualification or engineering degree
