About the Role

We are actively seeking the talents of a highly skilled and experienced Processing Superintendent to join the Jimblebar leadership team.

Reporting to the Jimblebar Manager Processing Production, you will be responsible for leading the Day Services team and Training Department (Processing and Mobile Maintenance) as well as providing leadership coverage for the Production Processing team on a routine basis.

In this key position you will:

  • Focus on creating a culture of care by being a visible safety leader
  • Provide support in development of the Gnatt for plant ramp down leading into shutdown as well as execution of ramp down activities 
  • Lead the processing day services teams including coaching and mentoring to optimise daily work practices and stakeholder management
  • Be accountable for the training team including stakeholder engagement and process improvement
  • Drive the improvement of end-to-end processing production performance and operating conditions      
  • Engage, develop, and coach your team whilst ensuring an overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development
  • Focus on Continuous Improvement through Identifying technologies and equipment for process plant design and optimisation
  • Lead by example and strive to achieve 100% safety, 100% customer value and 0% waste

About You

Your demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring teams in a complex operational environment will contribute to your success in this role.

Exceptional technical expertise complimented by extensive knowledge within Processing Production is essential for this position. Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills will also be critical in ensuring you build effective collaborative relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders across the business.

In addition, we are ideally looking for the following skills and experience:

  • Extensive experience within a large scale processing environment
  • A proven track record in safety management
  • Demonstrated success building cohesive teams and driving performance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solution-focused with the ability to work well under pressure
  • A continuous improvement mindset
