Superintendent Procurement and Logistics - Operational Projects
Work Location: Perth. Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.

Role overview:
Reporting to Manager Project Controls, as part of the Operational projects team, the role will lead the procurement of project materials and logistics support, across the entire operational projects portfolio, for the delivery of Brownfield non process operational projects in the NPI, Dewatering, Civil and Mechanical segments of all FMG operating sites.
The successful candidate will provide specialist advice on procurement and logistics activities to ensure the materials and logistics process is optimised for safe, efficient, and effective project delivery.
Key responsibilities include:

Leads a centralised materials planning, sourcing and purchasing function utilising SAP, Fiori and Ariba by providing leadership and guidance to the Materials and Logistics team on and off site.

Manages Long Lead procurement and commercial strategies for sourcing and supply of critical assets via tendering and direct purchase in accordance with FMG Procurement, Inventory, Purchasing and Commercial.

Oversees the coordination, reporting, tracking, risk identification and mitigation for project material deliveries with clear timelines for delivery, in cooperation with Area and Project Managers and Project Controls.
- Involved with Material Specification, feedback and improvement opportunities identified with internal stakeholders and vendors.

Provide specialist procurement advice on a range of categories to assist stakeholders and PMs to plan, develop, source, and manage procurement arrangements to meet organisational and business objectives effectively and efficiently, whilst maintaining alignment with FMG Procurement and Logistics.

Qualification and Experience:
- Demonstrated knowledge of logistics, supply, contracts, procurement, and inventory processes and procedures.
- 5 - 10 years experience in general logistics, supply, contracts, procurement, inventory and delivery or medium to large capital project portfolios.
- Advanced SAP & Microsoft Office
- Supply chain, Contracts, Procurement certification or qualification with a recognised professional body
- Demonstrated ability to use initiative, be self-directed and work under minimal supervision.
