You’ll be an inspiring role model and coach for positive behaviours, practices and processes, whilst providing leadership, development and support to your team, with the aim of driving consistent performance and innovation in relation to safety, cost and production.Reporting to the Manager - Mining, the role will require you to:•    Actively foster and communicate a positive safety culture to promote safety awareness and compliance, encouraging prioritisation of safety in all activities and operations •    Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, evaluating and implementing improvement opportunities utilising a range of Rio Tinto best practices •    Collaborate closely with other functions and stakeholders in the performance of duties •    Responsible for scheduling, execution and control of functional mine site production activities including haulage, safety, training, resource scheduling, performance reporting and grievance handling •    Ensure production targets are achieved through the safe and effective operation of core production processes •    Develop and communicate daily production planning •    Responsible for work unit training, safety compliance and departmental scheduling and productivity •    Manage production operations to maximize productivity while minimizing cost and environmental impact •    Execute short- and medium-term plans and schedules to meet business strategy •    Define staffing needs, selection/assessment criteria, and development needs •    Identify and evaluate opportunities for continuous improvement •    Appointment as the Nominated Responsible Manager – Mass Transport for site What you’ll bring    •    A current "C Class" WA Manual Driver’s License•    A WA unrestricted quarry manager certificate•    Statutory Position Legal Exam – Quarry Manager•    A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team •    Respect for others and an all-inclusive mindset •    Demonstrated capability in effective communication, feedback and collaboration whilst bringing the team on a journey of continuous development
