We are looking for a Superintendent Mining Production to provide leadership to ensure all aspects of Mine Development and Production operations are conducted safely and efficiently.
This role is a great opportunity for an experienced individual with a strong background in mining and excellent leadership and interpersonal skills. This position is FIFO Perth on a 9 days on, 5 off roster. Reporting to the Manager Mining, you will:
- Be responsible for the development of a strong safety culture ensuring adherence to all relevant statutory regulations and Rio Tinto Iron Ore standards and policies
- Demonstrate capability in all aspects of leading a team including but not limited to; employee performance management, training and career development
- Measure, record and analyse reporting on all mining production activities to consistently achieve plan and improve performance
- Work collaboratively and foster relationships with other departments to achieve wider business objectives
What you’ll bring
- Proven leadership qualities and a strong drive to lead and develop people
- Collaborative approach and a positive attitude
- Cost control management and budgeting experience
- Ability to work under pressure and coordinate multiple work priorities
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
It will also be beneficial if you have:
- A current WA Quarry Manager’s or Restricted Quarry Manager's ticket
- Certificate IV or higher in Frontline Management
- Experience with autonomous haulage system (AHS)
