About the Role
Reporting to the Manager Engineering, this senior role leads a team to successfully deliver projects within Nickel West with a focus on customer expectations, HSE, processes, standards, quality and cost. Though supportive leadership you will drive performance and ongoing development of your team.
This position can be offered on a 5/2, 4/3 FIFO basis from Perth to Mt Keith.
In this role you will:
- Promote and coach operational discipline and high performance in work execution and enhance the technical knowledge of team members
- Provide oversight and support to your team to successfully deliver on projects within Nickel West
- Effectively engage with internal and external parties to ensure that pathways are provided for success
- Provide inputs into plans, budgets, and targets for the projects and ensure delivery against them
- Manage the planning, safe execution, and commissioning of packages according to agreed scope, budget, schedule, and relevant standards and specifications
- Provide support and management to our contractors
- Be first and foremost focused on creating a culture of care by being a visible safety leader, engaging, developing and coaching your team
About You
- Tertiary qualified Engineer (Construction, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or similar)
- Project and programme management experience
- Demonstrated experience developing and leading a team focussed on continuous improvement and high-performance
- Autonomous and confident work style
- Influencing skills that effectively encourage collaboration between departments and groups
- Demonstrate ability to prioritise and effectively manage multiple deliverables across stakeholders
- Demonstrate the confidence to lead by example, hold yourself and others accountable and coach others in ‘Safety Leadership’
