About the role

We are looking for a Superintendent Quality Measurement to join our Dampier Port Operations Leadership team.

This is a great opportunity for an engaging individual to lead a great team of Quality Measurement Supervisors while promoting positive safety and people culture through visible and tangible leadership.

Reporting to the Ports Dampier Operations Manager and working in a challenging and exciting environment you will be:

  • An inspiring role model and coach for positive behaviours, practices and processes, whilst providing leadership, development and support to the Quality Measurement team
  • Responsible for the development of a strong safety culture ensuring adherence to procedures for plant sampling and analytical measurement as well as metallurgical laboratory operations
  • Ensuring sampling, quality measurement and metallurgical testwork target turnaround times are met
  • Ensuring systems are developed and in place to maintain quality control standards for sampling and laboratory operations
  • Oversee the execution of metallurgical testwork programs and data reporting
  • Working collaboratively and foster relationships with other departments to achieve wider business objectives

What you’ll bring

  • Proactive with a strong commitment to driving a safe working culture
  • Experience working in operational leadership roles and be confident in effectively leading, mentoring and coaching team members
  • Demonstrated background in QA/QC or metallurgical testwork is preferred
  • A current Australian driver's license
