We are seeking a passionate people leader with a strong collaboration mindset to deliver on cell turnaround drumbeat for all three Reduction Lines and to lead our crews to success in an exciting time at Boyne Smelters Limited.

Reporting to the Manager – Reduction line 3, key accountabilities of this roles includes;

  • Proactively improving the work environment to reduce health, safety and environmental risks;

  • Supporting your team to improve safety culture through the continued implementation of the Safety Maturity Model and RTSPS

  • Implementing and sustaining process safety standards for critical risks;

  • Driving operational and technical excellence by mentoring and identifying development opportunities for team members;

  • Ensuring team objectives / work schedules are maintained in line with production expectations;

  • Optimising plant performance by leading a diverse team in continual improvement projects;

  • Establishing and maintaining key routines and systems to produce quality products;

  • Working closely with technical and operations stakeholders both on site and within the wider business.

What you’ll bring 

  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team 

  • Experience in a process or mechanical related role previously

  • Strong Stakeholder Engagement skills and ability to interface with a wide range of stakeholders

  • The successful applicant will ideally have a background in Smelting or a similar heavy industry with complex processes and a strong quality assurance focus

  • Excellent ability to interpret and challenge data/metrics
