Superintendent Reliability
Work Location: Iron Bridge - Fortescue’s Iron Bridge project is located on the traditional lands of the Nyamal people.
Roster: 4:3 (Monday to Thursday) – Every weekend is a long weekend home with family and friends
Key Accountabilities:
- Promote and implement risk reduction via the exposure risk reduction program and the potential loss of life program
- Establish and sustain key reliability systems and processes to support continuous improvement with safe and cost-effective plant reliability
- Support maintenance execution and the maintenance work management process
- Provide leadership, direction and support for the reliability and condition monitoring teams
- Identify and manage asset reliability risks centred around equipment life cycle
- Ensure maintenance is in line with strategies and tactics to form a critical part of the maintenance annual planning and budgeting process
- Identify sustaining capital improvement projects that improve plant reliability
- Ensure plant performance is reported upon Daily/Weekly/Monthly through different media by engaging all key stakeholders
- Ensure FMECA/RCA (Root Cause Analysis) are conducted for failures, provide improvement actions and monitor implementation of actions through solid reliability processes
- Ensure Condition Monitoring processes, including ultrasonic (and phased array UT) pipeline inspections, vibration analysis of rotating gear, infrared inspections, fracture/failure analysis and others are applied to accurately determine equipment condition
- Ensure data and reporting systems are established, maintained, value adding and suitable for tracking plant performance and identification of issues and trends.
Desired Qualifications and Skills:
- High performing leader with demonstrated experience leading and motivating multidiscipline engineering, reliability, operational teams across the mining industry.
- An Australian recognised Engineering Degree or similar
- Post-graduate qualification in Reliability or Project Management (preferred)
- Strong safety leadership skills and actively promote safe work initiatives.
- Demonstrated budget management experience
- A collaborative leader with strong communication, influence and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Change management leadership experience
- Creative thinking and problem-solving capability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Planning and stakeholder management skills
