Superintendent Renewals - Rerail

About the roleWe are looking for an experienced Superintendent Renewals to join the Rail Network Renewals team. You will have a strong commitment to safety leadership in the workplace and deliver fantastic outcomes by working as part of a high performing team. As the Superintendent Renewals - Rerail you are accountable for the safe execution of Riotinto’s Rerail program.

Working a 5/2 - 4/3 roster and reporting to the Manager Rail Network Renewals, you will be:

  • Leading the execution teams for installing Rail Steel across RioTinto’s 1900km of rail network
  • Delivering quality primary maintenance plans and development of key metrics
  • Identifying and Implementing process improvements in the execution methodologies
  • Setting the strategic vision for the Rerail portfolio
  • Managing commercial contracts and strategic relationships

About youTo succeed in this role, you will have:

  • The ability to lead with influence and create strong partnering relationships
  • Demonstrated understanding of work management process
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • A continuous improvement mindset and ability to manage and adapt to change in a highly dynamic environment
  • Ability to quickly establish effective working relationships with key stakeholders
  • Project Management experience

Where you’ll be working

Whilst being based at either Tom Price or our Dampier Operations, you will also have the ability to travel between Rio Tinto’s various sites & camps as part of your core work.

Tom Price is located in the central Pilbara, west of Karijini National Park and is our original Pilbara mine, currently employing residential and fly in fly out employees. It is known as one of the most attractive towns in the Pilbara with a high school, two primary schools a hospital and a high standard of recreational facilities.

Our port facilities consist of four shipping terminals located on the Pilbara coast at Dampier and Cape Lambert which form an essential part of our logistics process. Each terminal has facilities for train unloading, iron ore stockpiling, product blending and ship loading.
