We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Superintendent Shift Maintenance to lead the Dampier Maintenance team, fostering a strong, positive culture while driving operational excellence and ensuring optimal performance.
As a people leader, you will be instrumental in cultivating a high-performing team, while safely delivering cost-effective asset performance through leading the Shift Maintenance and Asset Health teams to identify and manage asset risk, ensuring the right work is completed to maintain plant integrity and operational performance across our fixed plant and balance machines.
Working Monday to Friday on a 5/2 4/3 roster reporting to the Manager Maintenance Dampier, you will be:
Leading the focus on sustaining and improving a strong safety culture throughout the site
Coaching and developing a team of highly skilled trade and technical team members.
Ensuring that the maintenance planning function is delivered in line with Rio Tinto best practice to maximise productivity and equipment reliability
Fostering a culture of continuous improvement, supporting the team in the implementation of improvement initiatives and technical advances
Developing, monitoring and controlling approved budget to deliver cost effective services that meet the business needs while ensuring compliance with the relevant statutory legislative provisions

Where you will be working
Rio Tinto's Dampier Port is a strategic location in the Pilbara for delivering up to 160Mt of iron ore to our seaborne customers via train unloading, product stockpiling, blending and ship loading operations. Employees reside locally within the city of Karratha.
