About the Role
Reporting to Manager Fixed Plant , you will be responsible for leading onsite Fixed Plant Shutdown team to ensure safe execution of maintenance shutdown activities for the fixed plant assets (including Crushing, Screening, Stockyards, & Train load-out) based on Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) work strategies and in compliance with the Shutdown Management Framework.
In this role you will ensure statutory/legislative compliance for all plant and equipment requirements.
This role will be based at South Flank operations on 5/2, 4/3, 9/5 roster offering flexible work arrangements.
Key Task and Accountabilities include:
- Demonstrate an overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility and sustainable development.
- Lead Fixed Plant Shutdown teams and promote operating discipline related to the 1SAP work management processes.
- Ensure maintenance teams understand the value of 1SAP work management processes and related metrics.
- Facilitate performance reviews, identify gaps and engage the relevant stakeholders to ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Participate in the weekly shutdown planning and scheduling process meetings to ensure alignment and commitment of resources and plant to the work schedule.
- Ensure execution of maintenance activities in line with the shutdown schedules and minimise any unscheduled work requirements.
- Develop, communicate and execute the Fixed Plant Shutdown work plan and allocate resources to ensure delivery.
- Develop budgets and forecasts for Fixed Plant Maintenance area and assist with the creation of overall department budget by reviewing the existing Work Plans and standalone Task Lists.
- Regularly monitor area expenditure/trends and put remedial controls in place to meet budget requirements within Fixed Plant.
- Contribute to the development and input into the Department’s succession plans.
- Lead, coach and mentor employees to deliver on plan and build a high performing team.
About You
Your previous experience of leading the Execution of major shutdowns in Fixed Plant maintenance will be advantageous.
As a strong leader and effective communicator will see you successfully lead and coach your team as well as influence your key stakeholders to ensure the success of our operation.
Your relevant industry experience coupled with analytical, problem solving skills and financial acumen will ensure success in this role. You will have below skills and Competencies:
- Trade background or engineering qualification would be highly regarded;
- High level understanding of shutdown maintenance systems and planning concepts;
- Exposure to cost reduction strategies with financial and commercial acumen;
- Experience with SAP and Asset Management Software will be advantageous;
- Experience in developing business plans consistent with site strategies/ plans and implement within the Fixed Plant area.
