About the role
We are looking for a Site Communications Superintendent to join our Utilities Coast department. The role will oversee maintenance for our site communications and mining systems assets across Cape Lambert, Dampier, Seven Mile and Robe Valley sites.
The scale and complexity of operations is significant which will provide you with opportunities to demonstrate your capabilities as a respected people leader and your experience in maintenance.

Reporting to the Manager Utilities Maintenance and working in a challenging and exciting environment within Utilities Maintenance department you will be:
- Maintenance and operation of port, mining and rail communications systems including – two-way radio networks, LTE Infrastructure, Fibre Optic Systems, DC power systems including solar, Microwave Bearers, IP networking, Rail Signalling assets, Modular mining, Minecare, Autonomous hauling and Autonomous drilling systems.
- Leading and developing team capability and culture
- Driving efficiencies to improve productivity and managing risks.
- Managing seamless delivery of services to assist sites achieve their targets.
- Proactively managing our assets during planned and unplanned outages to minimise production losses.
- Implementing and developing asset management processes for existing and new assets.
- Effectively managing operating costs and identifying opportunities to free cash flow.
- Liaise and coordinating between the different stakeholders from IT/OEM/Site Production/Rail teams.
What you’ll bring
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
- A technical background in either IT, communications systems, robotics or a similar field. Additionally, we are seeking the below attributes
- Driven to succeed and are committed to championing safety in the workplace
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to coach, mentor and develop a teams
- Commercial and technical acumen, enabling you to effectively manage assets and maintenance
- An understanding of the challenges associated with large scale mining operations and site communications asset maintenance
- A current Manual C Class driver's license
- Intermediate proficiency in SAP or similar software
