Responsibilities

Asset East Technology is looking for a Superintendent - Site Operational Technology to support a team of skilled technicians at our Bowen Basin mining operations. Site Operational Technology’s purpose is to enable site operational efficiency through maintaining reliable technology.

The Superintendent - Site Operational Technology provides support, direction and governance in ensuring the Technology and End User Services support strategy is in line with current and future state business requirements.

In this role, you will be the face of the Technology for the customer and as such there is a high priority on establishing productive relationships with key operational personnel on site, Brisbane and Perth supporting technological teams – maintaining ‘one team’ approach.

Your responsibilities:

  • Implementation of safe systems of work for maintaining Technology using work management processes
  • Facilitates the safe execution of planned maintenance activities that reduce failure rates and downtime of Information and Operational Technology equipment. Safely manages response to service breakdowns (Technology Incident)
  • Manages the deployed Technologies and services for business use to meet or exceed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) 
  • Supports the transition of new or enhanced Technology services from Projects or Design & Modifications to application and asset owners
  • Develops the skills and capability of teams to manage Information Technology/Operational Technology
  • Supports, coaches and mentors team members to ensure delivery against performance targets.

The role is preferred Residential or Drive-in/Drive-Out (DIDO) from nearby regional areas, however Fly-In Fly-Out (FIFO) or Bus-In Bus-Out (BIBO) may be considered for the appropriate candidate.

About You

As the successful candidate you will possess the following: 

  • Tertiary qualification in Technology, Business or a related discipline and/or Trade Qualification with experience in technology related fields
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and support people, employing appropriate management styles
  • Ability to develop and capitalise on relationships to deliver an outcome
  • Familiarity with mining Operations Technology, Digital Radio, Fleet Management, and Communication Networks
  • Experience in Maintenance Methods and Work Management processes/systems.
  • A proven track record of Safety within an operational environment
  • Australian C class driver’s license
  • Open/unrestricted Cabling Licence preferable
