About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and influential leader to take on the role as the Superintendent Site Systems for Peak Downs Mine site operations, this role is offered on a 5:2 roster with flexible travel arrangements for the right candidate.
Reporting to the Manager Compliance, this role provides leadership of the Site Systems team and is accountable for the coordination and governance of the Safety and Health Management System, Material Risk Management, Regulatory Compliance, Training systems and associated information systems.
In this role you will:
- Lead and assist the development of a small team of high performing subject matter experts.
- Provide technical guidance to support the PDM leadership and Site Systems teams in the delivery of performance targets.
- Leverage your BOS capability to lead and embed initiatives that bridge identified gaps, facilitate change and embed new systems to support the continuous improvement of the SHMS and broader Site Systems accountabilities.
- Monitor, support and oversee the delivery of Material Risk Management, SHMS, Regulatory Compliance, Training scheme and associated systems.
- Develop strong working relationships and support site leaders to ensure in-field adherence to new and existing safety systems.

About You
We have a strong focus on finding a candidate with an inclusive approach to leadership along with exemplary communication and critical thinking skills.
You will be a self-motivated individual with experience in leadership and highly skilled in stakeholder engagement to foster a collaborative approach to working.
To be successful in this role, you will possess relevant qualifications in Safety, Risk, Assurance, Law or similar and be able to demonstrate your experience applicable to the following:
- Previous experience in the same or similar role within the mining industry would be highly regarded
- Developing, maintaining and improving safety management systems.
- Managing systems in line with QLD Coal Mining Legislation.
- Proven ability to effectively engage with a variety of stakeholder both internal and external
- Leading and governing risk management processes.
- Delivery of simple, effective solutions in a changing environment
- Proven ability to lead and manage a high performing team.
