About the role
Reporting to the Manager Project Delivery this role is a great opportunity for a successful individual to lead a dynamic team which is responsible for co-ordinated management of the Structural Integrity (SI) program to achieve its strategic objectives and deliver positive outcomes to the organisation.
Responsibilities will include:
- Management of SI program risks
- Act as the cross-departmental link between AMES, RTP and the individual Sustaining Capital projects
- Develop improvement strategies for streamlining consultant inspection and reporting required to efficiently execute the overall program delivery of 16 mines and 4 ports
- Develop a sustainable remediation pipeline portfolio with RTP and Rio Tinto Iron Ore Contracting partners
- Manage Stakeholder relationships, including Senior Management within Sustaining Capital as well as Senior Management within Site Operations and Contracting Partners
- Oversee significant or contractual disputes
- Investigate innovative methods of structural remediation
- Update, monitor and report on program metrics
- Develop 5 year forecast plans to align with the businesses risks and priorities
- Overseeing and coaching a team of regional program leads and coatings (quality) advisors and co-ordinating efforts between the projects.
About you
To succeed in this role, you will be required to demonstrate:
- Qualified Civil/Structural Engineer that has worked in mining industry managing structural remediation.
- Sound knowledge of coating application.
- 8 to 10 years’ experience in Project Management on SMP projects.
- Working knowledge in MS Project & Primavera P6.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships
- Negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- A commitment to development and continuous improvement
