About the Role
We are seeking a passionate team leader to join our Technical Training team. The objective of this team is to deliver best-class training planning, resourcing and delivery across all Nickel West teams.
Reporting to the Manager Business Standards and Technical Training, the role will support our Northern Operation teams. These teams span the three physical locations of Leinster, Mt Keith and Cliffs, and include a diverse set of business processes and services:
In this role you will:
- Lead a team to safely deliver the training plan to meet business objectives
- Support the site in the planning and provision of training services for shutdowns, focussing on contractor mobilisation training.
- Lead initiatives locally to bridge gaps and facilitate change to support the continuous improvement of training delivery.
- Ensure training delivery information and records are maintained to the required standard
- Participate in internal and external audits
- Collaborate strategically with Asset-Wide Technical Training and Global HR Training to identify Asset wide improvement.
This role is offered as either residential or FIFO. frequent travel between Leinster and Mt Keith is required as part of this position.
About You
- Skilled in relationship management, teamwork and cross-functional collaboration
- Excellent prioritisation and time management skills when facing multiple tasks and goals
- A working knowledge of the intent of the Western Australian Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (DMIRS) Mining Act.
- Demonstrated understanding of risk management through risk assessments and in-field experience.
- Excellent computer skills and a high level of attention to detail
