About the Role
Our Operations - Carrapateena
Located 472 kilometres north-west of Adelaide, South Australia, Carrapateena is part of our Minerals Australia operations, within the Copper South Australia province. The mine is located on the traditional land of the Kokatha people. Carrapateena produces copper concentrate and is one of the largest mining projects in South Australia in the last decade. This role is based at Carrapateena on a 5/2 or 5/2, 4/3 day shift roster basis. FIFO options are available from Adelaide or Port Augusta.
We are seeking an experienced, collaborative and people-focused Technology Operations Superintendent to lead our on-site team at Carrapateena.
Reporting to the Manager Technology Operations, you will play a key leadership role in ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient technology systems at our Carrapateena Operation. You will lead a skilled and diverse team responsible for maintaining critical technology systems, including control systems, industrial networks, radio, CCTV, end user services and compute infrastructure.

In this role you will:
- Lead and nurture a safe, inclusive, and high-performing team culture aligned with BHP’s Charter Values
- Motivate, engage and coach the team towards achieving safety, inclusiveness and productivity goals
- Facilitate implementation of safe systems of work for maintaining Technology using work management processes
- Oversee the maintenance and reliability of IT/OT systems to maximise operational performance
- Lead effective responses to incidents and service interruptions, including major incident management
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with operations, maintenance, and technical teams
- Support, working in with our project delivery teams, the successful implementation and integration of new technologies on site
- Ensure operational technology at Carrapateena enables successful delivery of the Site Operational Plan.

- An understanding of risk management and safety leadership practices
- Previous experience in Technology, maintenance or processing will be highly regarded.
