About The Role

Reporting to the Mine Operations Manager, the Training Superintendent will manage training related activities for Mine Operations at Maules Creek Mine. This role is considered local, so required to live in or relocate to the Gunnedah area in regional NSW. The roster will be based around a 9 day fortnight.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and manage budget for Training function
  • Develop business cases as required for implementation of identified improvement opportunities
  • Manage compliance and competency training activities at Maules Creek Mine
  • Coordinate trainee and labour hire operator selection and on-boarding
  • Take ownership for own health and safety and have an obligation to take reasonable care for the health and safety of others

What You’ll Bring

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) (Full)
  • Working experience of Coal Services Order 34 Training and Competency Management Systems
  • Proven experience in Open Cut Coal Mining document/training package development/writing
  • Extensive experience in mine operations
  • Strong data analysis skills
  • An ability to manage competing priorities simultaneously to meet multiple goals
