Work Location:
Port Hedland, WA. Fortescue’s Port Hedland Operations are located on the traditional lands of the Kariyarra people.
Roster:
4:3 FIFO ex Perth
Reporting to the Manager Training and Development, this position will lead and manage the training department at our Hedland Operations.
With a proven track record in leading and managing teams within a complex environment, the Superintendent Training will be responsible to develop, implement and execute a customer focused and forward looking training plan to support operations.
Significant experience in planning, tasking, coordinating and monitoring of operational plans is essential.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and manage the onsite Training Team
- Development and synchronising of training schedules to support a forward leaning mine management plan.
- Research and develop Training Strategies in consultation with internal and external parties.
- Responsible to ensure the right resources, techniques and procedures are available to support training the Hedland Operations workforce
- Hands on approach to teamwork and customer service
- Well organised and excellent time management skills with strong attention to details skills
- Work in conjunction with the Training Teams across all sites to ensure alignment
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Training and Assessing
- Proven experience in a senior Training leadership role within a Mining environment
- Extensive leadership experience in complex environments
- Solid customer service, consultation and negotiation skills
- Evident knowledge and understanding of training systems and strategy development
- Passionate, energetic and excited about creating generational change
