About the Role
FIFO Role (ex Adelaide) on Roster: 5/2
The Superintendent Warehouse, reporting to the Head of Operations Australia, will provide leadership to a team of Supervisors, Specialists and Operators, focused on the safe and on time purchase, transport, delivery and stock management of materials to our customers, as part of our Copper SA operation. This role will enable you to utilize your management skills while gaining broad exposure across multiple operations. You will influence the performance and culture of your team while being responsible for all facets of the inbound supply chain including warehousing, inventory, logistics and strategic purchasing, in a safe, efficient and effective manner.
In this role, you will;
• Build strong relationships by leading, motivating and engaging people in all parts of the business including Site based Customers and other Functional teams. • Have an open communication style, share information and contribute to an excellent working environment whilst ensuring that employees have all the information, they require to perform their role safely and efficiently and that adequate communication processes exist within the team. • Support and develop a diverse team to enable safe, productive and efficient parts supply and availability • Champion Material Risk management and ensure controls are in place, including the verification of all Safe Work Procedures • Develop strong working relationships with site stakeholders to achieve mutually beneficial improvements • Collaborate with multiple Functions to support Warehouse activities to ensure efficient operation of multiple warehouses across sites • Monitor cost against budget and forecast any potential changes to spend
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
• Significant resources industry experience which includes demonstrated experience in a leadership position within Warehouse operations • Have a proven track record of safety leadership and operational performance management • Be a collaborative and supportive leader with experience engaging diverse teams • Strong action orientation, problem solving, collaboration and decision making skills • Strong communication and problem solving skills • Have a willingness to be part of, and lead a culture that promotes innovation, encourages diverse thinking and supports best for business outcomes
