About the Role
As the Supervisor Asset Health Services, your role is to provide technical support and leadership on injury management, return to work processes and asset health programs conducted at BHP’s Adelaide offices. This position is based at Adelaide Export Park on a 5/2 roster with some site travel. Reporting to the Superintendent Asset Health, this role supervises the Injury Management and Occupational Health services delivered at Export park.
In this role you will:
- Oversees Technical and Operational Asset Health Team (resources, plans, routines)
- Balances Team capacity & demand (15/3 Prioritisation and 90 Day Plan)
- Provide outstanding patient support, guiding them through internal and external medical providers
- Assist in the execution of the return to work program (injury management)
- Liaise with relevant stakeholders and execute works compensation processes
- Provide technical expertise in the development of proactive injury prevents (program development)
- Provide leadership and direction in the Injury management portfolio
- Manage complex cases, liaising with internal and external stakeholders as required
- Coordinate the development if robust pre-employment processes, functional capacity assessments, aligned to job role profiles
- Maintain high quality service delivery at Export Park inclusive of Customer Service, Health Surveillance and PEM Management
- Continually striving to improve Export Park performance by seeking better ways to deliver services
- Support the injury reduction programs (i.e. Musculoskeletal reduction program)
- Support and review changes in the workplace
- Support the implementation of health management plans
- Maintain health reporting, execute data integrity and governance activities
About You
You will be an energetic and driven professional with a strong health background. You work well with challenges, have a high attention to detail and the ability to meet multiple deadlines. You will also have project management experience and experience dealing with complex case management.
You will also have:
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy (or similar)
- Return to Work Coordinator Certificate
- Experience in a health related discipline with return to work planning
- Working knowledge of SA ‘return to work’ legislation
- Proven commitment to look after your own wellbeing and the confidence to speak up when others put themselves in harm’s way.
- Strong communication skills which allow effective engagement with all levels of management.
