About the role

We are seeking a Supervisor to lead the Cape Lambert Business Support team, ensuring efficient customer service and structured administrative support across our operations.

This full-time position, reporting to the Operational Excellence Manager, operates Monday to Friday on a nine-day fortnight.

Ideal for an organised, people-focused leader with strong administrative skills, excellent time management, and a passion for continuous improvement, you will guide the team toward operational excellence. Your responsibilities include inspiring and motivating the team, delivering high-quality, reliable service, and driving structured, effective operations, while fostering both personal and professional growth.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing daily operations to ensure the accurate and efficient delivery of Business Support.

  • Coaching, mentoring, and developing team members, fostering operational excellence, and providing professional growth opportunities.

  • Delivering exceptional customer service support, addressing escalated issues, and ensuring client satisfaction.

  • Prioritising and managing multiple projects and tasks, maintaining confidentiality, and adhering to deadlines.

  • Managing Events Coordinator role, and ensuring sufficient support for site wide events across Cape Lambert & Dampier ports.

  • Contributing to the Operational Excellence leadership team.

  • Developing and implementing processes to improve efficiency and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

  • Managing the team’s budget to ensure cost-effective operations and optimal resource allocation.

  • Conducting regular performance reviews, offering constructive feedback, and resolving conflicts within the team or with other departments.

  • Preparing and presenting reports on business activities and team performance.

  • Maintaining open communication with other departments and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.

What you’ll bring

  • Preferably leadership experience or extensive experience in the administration field.

  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team.

  • Excellent customer service, administration, and organiszational skills.

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Microsoft Teams.

  • Experience managing budgets and resources effectively to ensure cost-efficient operations.

  • Ability to conduct performance evaluations, offer constructive feedback, and resolve conflicts.

  • Ability to lead and work with a diverse workforce in a dynamic environment.

  • Technical proficiency in managing and overseeing software tools relevant to administrative operations.

  • Strong time management skills with a proven ability to prioritisze tasks and meet deadlines.

  • A passion for continuous improvement, with a focus on implementing structured processes to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness.

Where you will be working

This role is based at Cape Lambert. Our integrated operations, which include port facilities, ensure we can supply the right quality product to our customers, when they need it. We blend our products at our own ports, which allows us to produce a reliable and consistent product. And because we have dedicated shipping operations, we are able to better control the delivery of product to our customers.
