Position Title:  Supervisor Control Room   

Work Location: Perth (HIVE Fortescue Centre). Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.

Role overview:

An opportunity exists for highly motivated Supervisor Control Room to join our Eliwana Control Room team.

Reporting to the Superintendent Mine & OPF Control, this Supervisor role supports Eliwana’s Mine & OPF control room functions across site remotely from Fortescue's IOC (Integrated Operations Centre) located in Perth.

The Control Room Supervisor is accountable for the OPF/ Mine Control teams’ interaction with wider mine site operations. They drive safety, production, efficiency & cost reduction initiatives in line with site Key Performance Indicators. The Supervisor provides leadership & direction to the OPF/Mine Control team to ensure that the business, OPF & mine plan objectives are met & consistently achieved, in line with HSES policies & procedures.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Optimise the Fleet Management System & SCADA to minimise disruption and maximise productivity, efficiency, and safety
  • Accurately roster & coordinate OPF/Mine Control personnel, contractors, and other resources to ensure seamless operations
  • Ensure Fixed Plant & Mine Control team training plans are implemented appropriately & in a timely manner
  • Ensure accurate data & information is captured & recorded by the system
  • Liaise with Technical departments to minimize impacts of production & maintenance delays
  • Provide & support communication links between production, maintenance, technical services, OPF, Mining & operational employees

Education and Experience: 

  • Proficient in Fleet Management Systems such as Minestar and/or SCADA at an advanced user level
  • Can demonstrate skills & experience developing a team across required training systems
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment operations and Fixed Plant work methods
  • Ability to make effective, intuitive decisions under pressure
  • Willing to conduct shift work & visit site for familiarisation & business continuity requirements
