About the Role

BHP through its WAIO and Operations Services Assets are Changing the way we work to engage highly capable people to maintain & ensure the reliability of our business critical equipment; Shiploaders, Reclaimers and Stackers.  Through standardising our work practices and enabling our teams to deliver safe, high quality maintenance every time, Operations Service & WAIO strive to achieve 100% safety, 100% customer value with 0% waste whilst supporting our teams and individual employees.   We are currently seeking safety focused Maintenance Supervisor/ Coordinator to join our team on a Dynamic – 182 roster flying from Perth

About You

As a Maintenance Supervisor/ Coordinator your main accountabilities will be to manage a maintenance team to safely execute all planned maintenance of balance machine equipment including but not limited to Stacker, Reclaimers and Shiploaders and associated activities to a high standard, ensuring maximum Plant availability.  You will also be a champion for business improvement, and you will be able to help support and empower your team on this journey. You will also be involved in shutdown management, risk management, performance monitoring and management, maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution    You will have a desire to shape culture, lead a team and improve business processes. Your extensive background experience in leading teams will see you well placed with the required capability to step into this opportunity. Your ability to communicate is of the upmost importance as well as your relationships skills. It is essential that you demonstrate impeccable safety behaviours and being safety focused is part of your everyday. Reporting to the Superintendent Maintenance, you will also: •    Foster a positive & productive working relationship and culture between the team members and with other departments •    Ensure HSEC standards, hazard identification and management is applied by departmental personnel;  •    Continue to identify opportunities to improve the performance of people, processes and systems;  •    Improve balance machine performance and reliability through quality maintenance practices;  •    Have sound business acumen;  •    Build cross functional relationships with other areas to support the delivery of maintenance; •    Have an understanding of SAP;  •    Coach, review and develop trades personnel to ensure their skills are optimised to their full potential; •    Extensive related experience in heavy industry essential •    A trade qualification is highly desirable with Mechanical or Electrical Supervisory experience.
