About the role

We have a fantastic opportunity available for a Supervisor Cranes and Transport to lead our Cranes & Transport teams to deliver safe and timely lifting and transportation requirements in our East Pilbara mine sites.

This role is perfect for an enthusiastic, safety conscious individual who will provide onsite leadership, development and support to the crane and transport operators.

Reporting to the Superintendent Cranes and Transport and working in a challenging and exciting environment within our Cranes and Transport team, you will:

  • Be an inspiring role model and coach for positive behaviours, practices, and processes, whilst providing leadership, development, and support to your team
  • Coach and mentor your team to ensure optimal delivery against performance and safety targets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with multiple stakeholders to align on operational plans and strategies.
  • Drive effective cost management initiatives by identifying & implementing cost-saving opportunities.
  • Participate in the preparation of accurate weekly reports and assigning tasks to team members.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, supporting the team in the implement initiatives.

What you’ll bring

  • Proactive approach with a strong commitment in driving a safe working culture.
  • Demonstrated ability in meeting targets and bringing the team on a journey of continuous development.
  • Exposure to contractor management systems and process
  • Exposure to planning and scheduling fundamentals
  • A Crane ticket CN - desirable
  • Knowledge of main road permitting systems - desirable
  • Be confident user of all Microsoft Office programs.
  • A current Australian driver's license
