This role is also eligible for relocation to Mount Isa.

The Role

We are looking for a Supervisor to join us in the George Fisher Mine Operations Team as Diamond Drill Supervisor. Reporting to the Fill & Services Superintendent, you will be responsible to provide supervision and support to ensure the safety, performance, and improvement of the Diamond Drilling team to deliver the mine plan. This position will be on a 7 days on, 7 days off; 12 hour dayshifts only work roster.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Responsible for safety leadership across GFM and for the health and safety of the Diamond Drilling team including:

• • physical observations of the work environment and people,
  • ensuring compliance with standards and procedures,
  • role modelling of safety behaviours, and
  • the management of incidents and investigations

• Responsible for developing a positive team culture in line with Glencore values including mentoring and coaching to build employee role competency
• Responsible for the optimisation of assigned resources and continuous improvement to minimise cost and waste
• Responsible for ordering and control of drilling consumables
• Responsible for preparation of upcoming drill sites and review of drill plans
• Responsible for team administration including management of leave and overtime 

The successful applicants will have:

• 5+ years’ experience in underground Diamond Drilling
• Relevant Diamond Drilling Operations Tickets
• Demonstrated knowledge of risk management, safety systems and legislative requirements for underground Mining
• S 1, 2 and 3 or equivalent
• Experience supervising and developing large work teams to deliver business outcomes
• Basic level Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel)
• Knowledge of and experience with SAP (highly regarded)
