Macmahon is currently seeking an experienced Drill & Blast Supervisor to join the Tropicana team. This position will be on a 8:6 roster, flying from Perth or Kalgoorlie. You will be part of a high energy team so possession of multiple skill sets and licenses/qualifications will be highly regarded as they will greatly enhance your versatility within the role.

Responsibilities not limited to:

• Ensuring a safe workplace is maintained and personnel are trained/competent
• Ensure safe working procedures and practices are in place and adhered to
• Supervising and leading a team of drill and blast personnel 
• Manage different types of DTH drills including our autonomous drill program
• Identify and implement improvement opportunities leading to safer workplaces, increased productivity, and increased efficiencies
• Ensure cleanups are completed in line with drill schedule requirements
• Safe and efficient operation of the entire drill fleet 
• Manage all assets to a high standard
• Able to demonstrate and communicate MacMahon’s’ company values
• Liaison, communicate and report drill and blast daily activities to all stakeholders and Macmahon’s Client at Tropicana. 

To be successful you will have the following skills and experience

• A strong, proven commitment to safety and excellent communication skills across all levels
• Previous Supervisory experience within an open cut mining environment
• Shotfirers License
• Previous Blasting and/or Shot firing experience
• In depth knowledge of the overall Drill and Blast process
• Certification in Frontline Management 
• Have a high level of communication skills

Should you be successful in being offered a role in Macmahons’ Surface Mining Division, you will be required to pass a medical and drug and alcohol test along with obtaining a National Police Clearance.
