We are looking for a Supervisor Electrical to provide leadership to their team and actively promote safety awareness and safe work practices; maintain site electrical compliance and ensure all electrical safety requirements at met at the Marandoo Operations. You will have a supportive leader that will not only set you up for success in this role but will continue to work with you to develop your career aspirations.

Working on a FIFO 8 days on, 6 off roster from Perth or Geraldton, this role presents a fantastic opportunity to draw on your people leadership and technical skills, whilst enjoying a family and lifestyle friendly work life balance. Reporting to the Fixed Plant Superintendent, you will be:

  • Be an inspiring role model and coach for positive behaviours, practices and processes, whilst providing leadership, development and support to your team
  • Ensure all notifiable electrical works are scoped, designed and carried out in accordance with all relevant statutory regulations and business standards and policies
  • Ensuring all Rio Tinto Iron Ore safety systems and comply with State and Federal regulations and standards
  • Contribute to the HSE system and increase awareness to enable an injury free and environmentally responsible workplace
  • Drive continuous improvement projects which include cost saving and production efficiency projects
  • Complete daily inspections of all work areas and regular on the job interactions with the team to develop a safe and efficient work culture
  • Managing key safety investigations, preparing reports and recommendations, and implementing corrective and preventative actions

What you’ll bring:

  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
  • Ability to execute work in alignment with Rio Tinto values (Care, Courage and Curiosity) and behaviours
  • Western Australia 'A' Grade Electrical License or Electrical Engineering degree
  • Prior exposure in a fixed plant shutdown environment
  • A passion and confidence in leading, coaching and developing team members
  • Ability to achieve outcomes through influence and collaboration with others
  • A current and valid ‘C Class’ manual driver's licence

Where you’ll be working

The Marandoo mine is located at the foot of Mount Bruce adjacent to the Karijini National Park, 50 km east of the town of Tom Price. Marandoo is known for its picturesque hills and mountain ranges. Our operation currently employs a fly in fly out workforce.
