About the role
We are looking for a motivated, safety-conscious Supervisor to lead a team of electrical maintainers providing maintenance to fixed plant assets at RTIO Dampier Ports.
The RTIO Dampier port facilities consist of two shipping terminals located near Karratha at East Intercourse Island and Parker Point, which form an essential part of our logistics process. Each terminal has facilities for train unloading, iron ore stockpiling, product blending and ship loading.
Leading from the frontline is one of the most important jobs in our business and comes with a huge amount of responsibility and stakeholder engagement. We need you to motivate, inspire and keep our people safe as we work.
This role is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic individual with strong front-line leadership experience who can work under pressure whilst fostering a positive and inclusive culture. Reporting to the Superintendent - Electrical Maintenance, you will:
- Be an inspiring role model and coach for positive behaviours, practices and processes, whilst providing leadership, development and support to your team
- Ensure all statutory testing and maintenance is carried out and documented to requirements
- Build and maintain relationships with multiple stakeholders to align on operational plans and strategies
- Drive effective cost-management initiatives by identifying & implementing cost-saving opportunities
- Managing the day-to-day operations through SAP
- Championing continuous improvement by identifying and implementing changes to optimise work practices and provide technical solutions to improve plant performance
What you’ll bring
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Proactive approach with a strong commitment to driving a safe and positive working culture
- Leadership experience and confidence in leading, developing and coaching team members
- Minimum of 10 Years of working experience as an electrician and at least five years in electrical fixed plant maintenance.
- WA A grade electrical license
- Competent understanding of electrical schematics, isolation and permitting systems
- A current C class Drivers License
- Strong fatigue management skillsets and comfortable with working nightshift regularly
It will also be beneficial if you have:
- Experience with administrating work management processes and competent user of SAP
- Experience High Voltage Switching and Access
- Experience working in a bulk handling port facility
- Proficiency with SCADA, PLC, VVVF drives, Networking and weightometers
- Strong working knowledge of Statutory requirements for mining and electrical work
- WHS Supervisor qualification
