About The Role– Electrical Supervisor
An outstanding opportunity has become available for an Electrical Supervisor at our CHPP Gunnedah . Reporting to the CHPP manager, you will be accountable for maximising the operating capacity and availability of all mobile/fixed equipment at the open cut coal mines through the provision of safe and best practice electrical maintenance services, to achieve production budgets and forecasts. This role is considered local, so required to live in or relocate to theGunnedah area in regional NSW. The roster will be a standard Monday to Friday.
What You’ll Do
- Ensure maintenance activities prioritise safety, through; effective hazard identification, risk management, encourage proactive and focus on quality assurance
- Ensure that all incidents and accidents are reported and are followed up correctly, ensuring that the relevant Occupational Health and Safety Act is complied with at all times.
- Major Outages & Shut Downs are run “on time” and minimise Mean Time to Failure after Shutdown through Quality Assurance.
- Provide leadership through coaching, mentoring, and developmental activities
- Ensure collection of data, specifically focusing on production loss (downtime data)
- Provide technical support to contracts and warehouse personnel for procurement and management of parts.
- Tertiary Mechanical or Electrical Trade Certificate (as relevant).
- Minimum of five (5) years in the mining or heavy industry or processing plant with strong working knowledge of Maintenance, Planning and CMMS.
- Current Unencumbered New South Wales “C” Class Drivers Licence.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Project, PowerPoint and Word.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation with excellent presentation and reporting skills.
