We are looking for a Supervisor Electrical to provide leadership to their team and actively promote safety awareness and safe work practices; maintain site electrical compliance and ensure all electrical safety requirements are met at the Tom Price Operation.
This role is a great opportunity for an experienced and safety focussed leader to develop, implement, promote and monitor electrical statutory compliance processes.
With the luxury of returning home every night after your shift on an 8&6 residential roster, and reporting to the Superintendent Fixed Plant you will:
- Be an inspiring role model and coach for positive behaviours, practices and processes, whilst providing leadership, development and support to your team
- Ensure all notifiable electrical works are scoped, designed and carried out in accordance with all relevant statutory regulations and business standards and policies
- Ensuring all Rio Tinto Iron Ore safety systems and comply with State and Federal regulations and standards
- Contribute to the HSE system and increase awareness to enable an injury free and environmentally responsible workplace
- Drive continuous improvement projects which include cost saving and production efficiency projects
- Complete daily inspections of all work areas and regular on the job interactions with the team to develop a safe and efficient work culture
- Managing key safety investigations, preparing reports and recommendations, and implementing corrective and preventative actions
What you’ll bring
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
- Leadership experience and confidence in leading, developing and coaching team members
- 'A' Grade Electrical License or Electrical Engineering degree
- Experience in maintenance of electrical installations on a mine site
- Experience running small-medium sized electrical installation/modification projects
- Ability to work under pressure and coordinate multiple work targets
- Computer literacy and proficiency in the suite of Microsoft packages such as Outlook, Excel and Word
- A current Australian driver's license

Where you’ll be working
Tom Price is located in the central Pilbara, west of Karijini National Park and is our original Pilbara mine, currently employing residential and fly in fly out employees. It is known as one of the most attractive towns in the Pilbara with a high school, two primary schools a hospital and a high standard of recreational facilities.
You will be required to live residentially in the Tom Price township.
