We are seeking a motivated and engaging Supervisor Electrical Fixed Plant to lead our site-based Electrical team providing electrical maintenance to fixed plant assets at Yandicoogina.

You will be an inspiring role model and coach for positive behaviours, practices and processes, whilst providing leadership, development and support to your team, with the aim of driving consistent performance and innovation in relation to safety, cost and production.

Reporting to the Superintendent Plant Maintenance and working in a challenging and exciting environment within the Plant department, you will be:

  • Maintaining and ensuring safe operation of fixed plant electrical equipment
  • Allocating and coordinating both planned and unplanned maintenance activities.
  • Supporting, coaching and mentoring a team to ensure optimal delivery against performance and safety targets
  • Provide guidance and coaching to the electrical trades on compliance to regulations and statutory requirements
  • Manage electrical compliance to MSIR, AS3000 and Rio Tinto standards for the Fixed Plant
  • Maintain the Electrical Log Book and check electrical work in the field and ensure test results and details are correctly recorded
  • Managing Rio Tinto appointed electrical contractors
  • Assisting the electrical planner with the administration of budget and procurement processes.
  • Championing continuous improvement by identifying and implementing changes to optimise work practices and provide technical solutions to improve plant performance

  • Electrical Trade Certificate and an A Class WA Electrical Licence
  • A current valid driver's license

Located 95km north-west of Newman, Yandicoogina offers a range of fly in fly out rosters. As one of Australia's largest-producing iron ore mines; operating a fleet of autonomous trucks and drills, it generates more than 55 million tonnes of Hammersley Iron Yandi (HIY) fines each year.
