About the Role

Reporting to the Superintendent SI Maintenance Execution Fixed Plant and in collaboration with the other Maintenance Supervisors you will be a key contributor in building a team of Electrical Instrumentation (E & I) Technicians that ultimately deliver E&I maintenance activities, ensure compliance with weekly maintenance schedules, operating standards, procedures and defined processes to achieve optimal maintenance outcomes for the operation.   

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):  

•    Willing and able to hold a Statutory Electrical Supervisor Position for the Concentrator  •    Willing and able to hold a Nominee Position for the In-House Electrical Installation Licence •    Identify, build and develop team capability through ongoing and regular coaching and development •    Prioritise the execution of work based on condition of risk of equipment to prevent unplanned failures and supervise the execution of the weekly work schedule  •    Plan and schedule break in work based on the risk of equipment failure within a 7 day period •    Identify and implement Maintenance Execution improvement  •    Allocate resources to achieve optimal maintenance outcomes as part of work activity planning  •    Offer continued development and mentorship to your team and ensure competency of individual maintainers in the safe performance of their duties •    Supervise the execution of maintenance activities related to process control systems within the Operation, including the software and hardware for these systems  •    Be first and foremost focused on creating a culture of care by being a visible safety leader, engaging, developing and coaching your team.  

About You

To be successful in this role you will have the following attributes, experience and skills:  

•    Have a genuine commitment to safety •    Hold a Trade qualified Electrical and Instrumentation or degree qualified in a related discipline •    Hold a current Western Australian Electrical Licence or validity to acquire •    Technically adept within the electrical and instrumentation trade •    Good organisation, communication, interpersonal skills •    Understanding of statutory compliance requirements  •    Confidence to work across a range of disciplines and levels to foster mutually beneficial and cohesive relationships •    The ability to balance multiple incoming priorities and effectively deliver on customer expectations  •    Exposure to Maintenance Execution environments as a supervisor or leader •    Confidence to work across a range of disciplines and levels to foster mutually beneficial and cohesive relationships •    Quality focused with a drive to achieve results for the team •    Demonstrate the confidence to lead by example, hold yourself and others accountable and coach others in ‘Safety Leadership’

Location

Nickel West Mt Keith is located 460 kilometres north of Kalgoorlie in the Northern Goldfields.  Nickel West Mt Keith is a surface mining operation with multiple open pits and a concentrator plant.  The operation is surrounded by pastoral stations, with the nearest townships being Leinster and Wiluna. There is plenty to keep you entertained in the Mt Keith Village. Take the heat off the day and head to the pool – or join in any number of social activities. Employees commute to and from Perth on a fly in / fly out roster or from regional areas on a drive in / drive out roster.
