About the Role

We are currently seeking to augment our team with a highly competent Electrical Reticulation Supervisor. Reporting to Maintenance Superintendent, you will be responsible for supervising and safe execution of all electrical infrastructure both installations and maintenance, including all statutory obligations as part of our license to operate. All tasks to meet their objectives on time and on budget.

The primary responsibilities of the role will focus on the supervision and co-ordination of internal and external resources required for the successful maintenance of underground substations, distribution boards, jumbo boxes, fan starters, pump starters, vehicle collision avoidance system, remote bogging, automated vent doors, jumbo electrical servicing. Working with BHP work teams, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day co-ordination of all maintenance activities, forward planning and requirements within, Nickel West’s high standards of Safety and quality of work. The ability to liaise with key stakeholders as well as internal departments in both a professional and effective manner will be a key facilitator in your ability to safely deliver work

About Leinster

Leinster is located 375 kilometres north of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia.  The operation sources nickel ore from the Perseverance Underground Mine and Cliffs Underground Mine before crushing and processing to produce a concentrate.  The Leinster Village and Township offer a unique lifestyle with all the modern conveniences – an Olympic size swimming pool, health and fitness centre, race-course and even an 18-hole golf course.  

About You

  • Strong supervision skills along with a trade certificate – WA electricians Licence
  • HV switching course would be highly desirable
  • First aid, CPR and LVR
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills and have a background in working underground on reticulation networks.
  • Strong work management and planning work ethic, driving a pro-active and planned maintenance work methodology.
  • Prior SAP experience would be highly desirable.
  • A current WA C class Driver’s License.
  • Understanding / knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and regulations for the electrical industry
