About the Role

As a Supervisor within the Maintenance team at Newman Operations which includes Mt Whaleback and Eastern Ridge Mine Sites. You will have the opportunity to support and guide a talented team managing the safe and cost effective maintenance on our large fleet of Mining mobile equipment, in order to ensure availability, performance and integrity. Reporting to the Field Maintenance Superintendent and being offered as a FIFO or residential role based in Newman WA working a lifestyle even time days/nights roster, 5 days on/5 days off/4 nights on/5 days off/ 5 days on/4 days off rotating.  

Your duties will include:   •    Demonstrating and instilling an overriding commitment to health, safety & environment •    Setting and clearly communicating targets and expectations •    Leading, coaching and mentoring employees to deliver on plan and build a high performing team •    Managing the planning, scheduling and execution of all Field Equipment Maintenance work •    Ensuring work management and reporting systems are kept up to date and accurate •    Ensuring the tooling and equipment required for maintenance work are in good working condition •    Reviewing and monitoring maintenance performance on a daily and weekly basis •    Ensuring all work is completed and accurately recorded in 1SAP •    Developing, communicating and executing the Field Equipment Maintenance (FEM)  work plan •    Assisting with the monitoring of all contractor work activities within the FEM department.

About You

Ideally as our successful candidate you will have:   

• Previous experience leading Diggers and Drills Maintenance teams in a frontline supervisory capacity • Proven experience maintaining Liebherr Excavators and Epiroc blast hole drills would be advantageous  • Trade Heavy Diesel Fitter qualification (Cert III Plant Mechanic) within an equivalent industry would be advantageous   • Solid technical experience within a Maintenance Team in a mining business • Experience leading and mentoring teams and an ability to provide leadership and development of supervisory staff • Current full "C" class motor vehicle license is essential  • Working knowledge of Mine WHS Legislation would be an advantage  • Systems knowledge of maintenance processes (e.g. SAP Work management, reliability, information management, cost control and budgeting processes).
