Supervisor High Voltage Electrician – HME

Roster: 7D/7N/14R – FIFO ex Perth
Reporting to the AMS & HV Electrical Maintenance Superintendent, supporting the autonomy and technology layer of the HME. This role will be responsible for supervising the HV Electrical HME maintenance team and working in close calibration with the AMS team. This role will see you ensuring the maintenance of our autonomous haulage and drilling fleets, electric drive haul trucks and electric excavators in line with a best practice maintenance strategy across HME fleets. You will be accountable for the planning, organising, supervision and control of personnel.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Display strong leadership with experience in a mobile maintenance field
- Provide dynamic leadership skills and strong prioritisation of workload across the site
- Embed our continuous improvements to the department.
- Lead and coach our team in high maintenance standards & ensuring safe practices are always performed
- Ensure compliance to skills training matrix for self and direct reports
- Conduct field interactions and complete incident investigation in BMS
- Identify, develop and publish SWI's
- Adherence to the weekly maintenance plan
- Carrying out of maintenance and modifications required on high voltage electric drive haul trucks, excavators, and other mining equipment under the direction of the Maintenance Superintendent and to the appropriate Australian and company standards and procedures.
- Apply FMG electrical standards in accordance with the Mine plan, working within internal systems, to ensure adherence to established technical and operational standards.
- Coach and develop employees within the Maintenance team on best practice for maintaining the HV Electrical & technology layer
- Ensure FMG and site operations procedures and policies are followed & aligned with statutory testing & inspections.
Qualifications and skills required:
- Australian recognised trade certificate – Cert III in Electrotechnology
- West Australian A class Electrical license & High voltage switching ticket.
- Previous experience on a mine site (highly desirable)
- High Risk License's - EWP, Forklift, Working at Heights (desirable)
- Valid first aid certificate - CPR and LVR in the last 12 months
- Strong supervisory experience and leadership skills
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Proven commitment to safety
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft office and SAP
- Experience working in a heavy mobile mining environment. Electrical heavy mobile equipment experience, specifically electrical excavators & electric haul trucks.
